(Leesburg, VA) This Thursday night at 7:30 pm, the Heritage Pride will battle the John Handley Judges from Winchester. Both teams have high expectations this season, and both need a win. Heritage is 2-1 after beating Freedom and Brentsville. The Pride's only loss came to Millbrook in week 2. The Judges come into the game 1-1 after beating Strasburg. Handley lost their opener against a powerful Harrisonburg team. The judges will rely on star quarterback J.J. Dorsey as he has the arm strength to throw the deep ball, and the speed and agility to run for a touchdown each time he chooses to run. Look for Heritage's Bobby Edmonds and Handley's J.J. Dorsey to be at the center of the action on Thursday night.

Key Matchups:
Handley has a terrific offense, and Dorsey will keep the Pride on edge all night long. Dorsey averaged 308 yards passing a game last year and is on track to improve that number this season. The Judges have two running backs that will share the load. Andre Ricketts and Phil Madagan will both get plenty of carries.

The explosiveness of Bobby Edmonds has helped Heritage to a 2-1 record this season. Edmonds scorched Freedom in week 1 with 3 touchdowns and has been on fire in every game he's played. He's the best playmaker on both sides of the ball for the Pride. The Judges will have to take him out of the game to win.

Nuggets of the Game:
Presented by Chick-Fil-A

For Handley:
Get Dorsey Out of the Pocket
Keep Edmonds From Breaking The Big Play
Establish the Running Game

For Heritage:
Put pressure on Handley quarterback J.J. Dorsey and Keep Containment
Control the Time of Possession to keep Dorsey and Crew off the field.
Get Bobby Edmonds at least 15 touches on offense.

Extra Points:
Dorsey has started since his freshman year and is one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the state. His stats last year were amazing, with over 1,000 yards rushing and 2,500 passing. Heritage on the other hand is starting Kyle Nelson, who has played very well after stepping at quarterback for the injured Joe Laura. Nelson is only starting his 4th game ever on the varsity level. Because of this, the advantage on paper goes to Dorsey, but Nelson is a clutch player who can beat you on the ground and in the air with his arm.

Heritage:
S Bobby Edmonds

Our Prediction:
This game will come down to who can make the big plays at the right times. Turnovers could also be the deciding factor. J.J. Dorsey will be too much for the Pride to contain, but the game will be exciting.

Predicted Final Score
Heritage- 10
Handley- 21
