Darden, Boyer Lead Pride Past Raiders in Golf
The Heritage Pride golf team started quickly in their first two matches by winning the Dulles District Mini Tournament on August 8th at Rasberry Falls Golf Course. The Pride received great performances from Christian Darden and Mike Boyer who both shot 75 along with Luke Davis. Billy Janis shot an 81 to help the Pride to the victory. All 8 Dulles District schools participated in the tournament. Potomac Falls finished in 2nd place.
On August 10th, it was Darden who put in the best round of the day for the Pride with a 73 at the Dulles District High School Golf Match again at Rasberry Falls. The Pride won with an overall score of 321 to 320 over Loudoun County. County's Kevin McLister also posted a 73 on the day. Heritage's Sean Ryan (79), Luke Davis (84), and Billy Janis (84) all played well in the win.
Heritage was the Dulles District Champion a year ago and it looks like they are off to another hot start in the 2006 fall golf season.
