Lake Braddock ends Stone Bridge's Season 6-1

Senior Left-handed pitcher Joe Infante came up big for the Lake Braddock Bruins (22-4) this afternoon at Madison HS. Infante pitched a complete game two hitter, defeating the Stone Bridge Bulldogs(17-9) 6-1, advancing to the Northern Region Championship and securing a berth in the AAA State Playoffs.
Infante was outstanding, striking out 10 Bulldogs hitters. In the third, the Bulldogs had 2 runners on via walk with no outs, and couldn't push a run across. Their only run came in the fourth, when Mike Stancik (1 for 2) lead off with a walk. After, moving to second on a wild pitch, Chris Dzurilla laced an 0-2 pitch into center, scoring Stancik.
Dzurilla gave it his best today, but the Bruins batters were ready. He lasted 4 innings, giving way to Tony Mazur in the fifth.
We would like to wish all the Stone Bridge Senior players the best as it was their final HS game today. Thanks to: Nick Bonacquisti, Ryan Shugars, David Ball, Niko Kolocuris, Ryan Lewis, Nick Crocoll, Tony Mazur, Chris Dzurilla, and Seb Saraceno for all of their hard work and dedication to the program.
Good luck to the Bruins, who will be facing the Oakton Cougars this Friday, June 2 at Madison HS in the Northern Region Championship. Oakton defeated Langley 12-5 in the other semi-final today. Both Oakton and Lake Braddock advance to the AAA State Playoffs, which begin next Tuesday, June 6.
THANKS BULLDOGS FOR A GREAT SEASON!
