Cox Falcons Girls Group AAA State Champions!
Sally Goode, Kirra Summers, Imee Bautista and Shannon Rogers were not effected by the move of the final and most important match of the season to the Centre Court Racquet Club because of rain. They were on a mission, a sometimes tense, tearful, but always passionate mission to bring the state championship to Cox and that they did. The Falcons, finish this season 18-0, who only returned two starters this year, had a difficult season off the court with internal squabbles at times, but they put it all aside to get the job done.
As Sally Goode watched Shreya Desai's forehand sail long, clinching back-to-back state championships for the Falcons, she was immediately surrounded by her teammates and screaming fans. "Cox Rox!" was painted on the windows of the court early on and that they did!
