Cox Boys Fall to Robinson in State Semi-Finals
"I'm proud of how my guys competed," Coach Worth Remick said. "But that's one great team." The Rams might be the best Group AAA boys tennis team the state has produced in over ten years.
That was the word from the Cox coach after his team fell against Robinson 6-0 Friday at Huntington Park. It took fewer than 90 minutes to end the season for Cox, as the Northern Region champions dominated the Falcons the way they usually did over their Eastern Region foes.
Robinson will meet defending state champion Mills Godwin in today's 9 a.m. final. The Central Region champion Eagles defeated Northwest Region champion E.C. Glass 5-0 in Friday's other semifinal.
