Zedan, Graves help Panthers advance past Pride
The Heritage Pride Boys Lacrosse team lost on Monday night in the district tournament to Potomac Falls 3-2. The Panthers played well against Heritage and have advanced to the District Championship Game in the tournament. That game will be played on Wednesday and it will feature two powerful teams. Potomac Falls is 12-4 and 7-1 in the district. Broad Run is a strong team as well and the championship should be an exciting one to watch.
In the loss, Heritage finished their season 9-6 overall and 6-2 in the district. The Pride were led by Dean Stambules, Alex Estrella, and Kenny O'Connor. All three players scored a goal in the game. Heritage goalie Tyler Barton had 12 saves for the Pride.
Potomac Falls received a great performance from Joey Zedan and goalie Bobby Graves. Zedan scored 2 goals and Graves registered 21 saves.
Potomac Falls is now 2-0 in the district tournament.
