Sean Ray Leads Knights to Region Tournament

Kellam (17-4) won their ninth consecutive game off the incredible performance of Sean Ray who struck out 11 batters and pitched a 3 hitter to defeat the Princess Anne Cavaliers 3-0 and advance to the Region Tournament against top seeded First Colonial (20-2). David Lottman hit a two run triple and Ray didn't allow a hit after the third inning.

First Colonial, who already had a region berth, defeated Ocean Lakes in the semi-finals 7-2 to win their 13th consecutive game. Topher Ellis and Frank Berry (both profiled this year in Gameday Magazine) had a great game, allowing only one hit between them. "If I throw in the mid 80's and Frank changed it up and comes in throwing gas, (Berry hit over 90 on the radar gun this game) that's a pretty good pitching punch" Ellis said.

Kellam and First Colonial meet Thursday night at Landstown for the Region Tournament at 7PM.
