Gardner, Patriots Defeat Freedom 3-0 in Softball

Brittany Gardner pitched the Patriots to victory over an improving Freedom team on Senior Night in Sterling. She added 15 strikeouts to bring her total to 259 for the season. The lone Freedom hit was a grounder in the hole between third and short that Sarah Orrison made a great play on and just missed throwing the runner out.

The Park View bats were far from silent as there were a number of well-hit balls. Unfortunately for the Patriots, most of them landed in Freedom gloves. Senior Molly Walter had two hits, a run scored and a run driven in for the Patriots.

Park View is back in action on Friday night at Loudoun County. The regular season ends Tuesday evening at Dominion High School.

Park View’s record now stands at 16-2 (10-2 Dulles District).
