Falcons Girls Soccer Remain Unbeaten
With the tight race to the finish last season putting Kellam and Princess Anne in solid positions at the top and both teams returning most of their championship teams, the expectation was to see another run for the title between the same two teams. That expectation was not shared by the Cox Falcons who are the only unbeaten team in the Beach District.
Despite finishing 13-3 last season, Cox did not advance to the regionals, but Coach Michele Clark said, "Our goal is to get out of the districts and get a regional title". She went on to say her team this season is a tight group that works together better than other teams she has coached. Key players are Senior Liza Woodward who is a consistent scorer, Keeper Kristin Carden and Defensive anchor Senior Whitney Schieble.
Cox showed their commitment to winning last week defeating both kellam and Princess Anne. Tuesday they went on to defeat Ocean Lakes.
