Tallwood's Josh Walker, a two-time All-Tidewater Player of the Year, has committed to play volleyball at Hawaii.

Brian Wright - a Beach District, Eastern Region and Group AAA state champion at Kempsville - has signed to wrestle at George Mason.

Kellam's Mike Warren, a first-team All-Tidewater selection, has committed to play volleyball at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.

Tallwood's Mike Holloman, a 6-foot-1 guard who was a key to the Lions' run to the Eastern Region title and the Group AAA state semifinals, has committed to play basketball at Mount Olive (N.C.) College .

Kempsville's Esty Flores, a 5-foot-1 guard, has signed to play basketball at Barton College in Wilson, N.C.

Ocean Lakes' righthander Quinn Bright has committed to Christopher Newport and infielder Miles Treacy has committed to VMI.

Three Bayside football players have committed to play at Louisburg (N.C.) Junior College: Oliver Alexander, a 5-11, 185-pound wideout/defensive back; Danny Herbert, a 5-8, 165-pound running back/defensive back; and Tevin Spruill, a 6-2, 265-pound defensive lineman. Alexander and Spruill were second-team All-Tidewater and first-team All-Beach District selections. Also, Bayside kicker/punter Justin Castellat, a 6-2, 175-pounder who was second-team All-Beach, has committed to Norfolk State.

Tallwood's June Hartman has committed to play soccer at Virginia Commonwealth.

Cox's Tara Chapmon has committed to compete for the swimming team at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Salem volleyball player Christina Wichrowski has signed with West Virginia State, and teammate Brittany Kaup has committed to Virginia Wesleyan.

Kempsville's Andy Polak has committed to play soccer at Mary Washington.

Bayside pole vaulter Amanda Oliveira has committed to Christopher Newport.

Ocean Lakes' Mike Popovich has committed to play soccer for Virginia Intermont in Bristol.

Cox long snapper Mike Maurer, a 6-1, 210-pounder, has been promised a walk-on spot on the N.C. State football team.
