Jeter Stifles Stone Bridge as Madison wins 12-0

Madison (12)
Stone Bridge (0)

WP-Jesse Jeter
LP- Ryan Shugars (3-3)

Last Friday, the Bulldogs got off to a great start against the Madison Warhawks, staking a 3-0 lead in the 3rd, only for the rains to come and wipe out the game.

What a difference a few days make. The Madison Warhawks continue their undefeated season, beating the Stone Bridge Bulldogs (8-5, 4-4) 12-0 in a game shortened by the 10 run rule. Ryan Shugars had a tough night, as he had trouble hitting his spots and his slider was not biting as usual.

The Warhawks (14-0, 8-0) have a stranglehold on the Liberty District, having a 3 game lead on their closest competitor. Stone Bridge was able to manage two hits against Madison. Jesse Jeter had the Bulldogs in knots most of the night, striking out at least 9 hitters.

The Bulldogs don't have much time to ponder the loss. They are slated to host the Marshall Statesmen in Ashburn, Tuesday, April 25. First pitch at 6:30PM.
