Princess Anne's Rodgers Chooses The Terps
Princess Anne High girls basketball star Kim Rodgers has made a winning decision to play for the Terps. Kim, who was profiled this season in Gameday Magazine, helped the Cavaliers dominate in the Beach District and Eastern Region during the past two seasons. Rodgers picked a program that recently won the NCAA women's basketball national championship. She had also received official scholarship offers from N.C. State, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
This past season, Rodgers led the Cavaliers in scoring at 16.5 points per game and also averaged 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 4.9 steals.
Saying the victory for the TERPS this season in the women's national championship was a big factor, she also added, "I really like the coaches and the players, and the location was a big deal."
