Hickory and Great Bridge Come out on Top
The Hawks had a tough loss last week against Lakeland, but redeemed themselves in fine fashion scoring 14-6 against previously undefeated Nansemond River Tuesday night. B.J.Crook had three hits and Cam Parsons scored three runs for the Hawks.
Deep Creek's Alex Weisner lost his first game at the hands of Great Bridge in an 11-0 shutout. The fifth ranked Wildcats played a short game, called after the fifth inning because of the 10 run rule. Ian Lenda remains unbeated for the Wildcats and his brother Ben made three hits and an RBI.
