Cox Falcon Collin Morisi Attends NIKE Camp
Collin Morisi, a Junior at Cox High School was invited to attend the NIKE Camp last Sunday in Miami. The camps are held nationwide and outstanding high school senior football players are invited to attend to be tested among their peers and given a Sparq rating. This rating is representative of a player's marks in the standard combine tests (40 yd run, pro agility run, bench press and vertical jump).
Collin placed 21 out of 240 athletes, most from Florida, who competed Sunday. His times were 40 Yd Run: 4.45, Vertical Jump: 34.4", Pro Agility Drill: 4.24 and he benched 185lbs., 16 times. His Sparq rating was 80.4. Collin who had bronchitis during the camp said "I am disappointed in some of my times because I have been sick all week, but the experience of being around some of the best players in the country was great. I am looking forward to a great season at Cox". Collin spent the following week training at Cris Carter's FAST Training Center in Coral Springs Florida.
Collin will play Safety and Running Back at Cox this Fall and there are several colleges who have expressed an interest in him and will be watching his Senior season.
