TCC Sports to Host Football Combine In May

Combine Inside Pic copy.jpgTCC Sports is proud to announce its first ever football combine will be held on May 20th, 2006 at the Dulles Sports Plex. The “TCC Sports Gridiron Combine” will be open to all 10th-12th graders for the 2006-2007 school year. The event will be organized and run by several prominent head football coaches from Loudoun County. Headlining the group is Stone Bridge Head Football Coach Mickey Thompson, Loudoun Valley’s Bruce Sheppard, and Park View’s Andy Hill.


Players will be tested in the following drills at the combine:
40 yard dash
Vertical Jump
Bench Press
Pro Agility Shuttle
Skills and Obstacle Test

TCC Sports has already received several commitments from some of the area’s most talented players. The results from the Gridiron combine will be published in Gameday Magazine and sent to college coaches all over the country.

In addition, TCC Sports will be broadcasting the event on ESPN2 for a 3 week period starting in early July 2006. The top 5 players at each position will be invited to the first TCC Sports Skills Challenge to be held in late July. The Skills Challenge will feature contests such as the “Fastest Man”, “Strongest Man” and several unique skills competitions with the various players attending. The Skills Challenge will also be televised on ESPN2 in Loudoun County and possibly more markets on the Adelphia cable network.




TCC Sports has partnered with the area’s finest performance training company to manage the testing and organize the event. Dynamic Sports Peformance (Ashburn, VA) will be working the various testing stations to ensure credibility and the integrity of the results.

Registration for the TCC Sports Gridiron Challenge is due by the 5th of May. The entry fee is $20 per player and all payments must be made to your head football coach. Please make checks out to TCC Sports and not your high school.
