Bulldog's Nuss A Wanted Man
Getting looks from big time division 1A schools is nothing new at Stone Bridge High School these days. The Bulldogs have sent several players to the next level to compete. Next year won't be any different as 2005 All Gameday Lineman has people waiting in line to get his services after his senior season. So far to date, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, Duke, and West Virginia have all offered a full ride scholarship to Nuss, who will enter his senior season as one of the most sought after recruits in the country.
As for who Nuss is going to choose, that remains to be seen, but reports have Nuss deciding before the season starts. All committments are non-binding until the first week of February 2007 so even if Nuss makes a verbal committment, he could still change his mind after the season.
Nuss is 6'5 265lbs and plays tackle for Mickey Thompson's single wing offensive attack. He also plays defensive tackle and is considered a solid run stopper on the defensive side of the ball. Nuss has an NFL type frame with room to grow and that is what college coaches are excited about. He will most likely be recruited to play offensive tackle in college but is also athletic enough to play guard.
2006 will mark the third straight season that a Stone Bridge player will sign with a major division one school on scholarship. In 2004, talented tight end Ed Wang signed with Virginia Tech is currently entering his redshirt sophomore season. Last season, defensive end Andrew Holomon signed with Duke.
Senior Quarterback Terence Glenn is also receiving looks from West Virginia and junior to be safety Jeron Gouveia was recently named to the sophomore All American team for the 2005 season, a first time honor for a Stone Bridge player.
TCC Sports will follow the recruiting process closely with Nuss and Glenn as they are both expected to be among the state of Virginia's best player's in 2006.
