Valley Drops A Tough One - Bulldogs Advance
Turnovers cost the Vikings
Loudoun Valley made a run at Edison late in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough. Valley failed to convert their two point conversion attempt and lost 14-12. Turnovers and missed opportunities were the key in this game. Linebacker Stephen Harvey forced a fumble inside Edison territory to setup the first Viking touchdown, but a missed extra point would force Valley into having to convert a two point play in the 4th quarter. Edison took advantage of Valley’s turnovers and played excellent defense against Viking running back Tommy Schonder. Valley finishes the year 9-2 in their first season at the Group AAA level.

Stone Bridge Wins On Final Drive
Behind junior quarterback Terence Glenn, Stone Bridge advanced to their 4th straight regional final appearance with a win over Madison. This is the second close win against Madison for the Bulldogs. Stone Bridge won in overtime earlier in the season 15-7 and on Friday night, the Bulldogs once again needed the entire clock to get the victory. Terence Glenn scored from the 1-yard line with just 15 seconds to go to give Stone Bridge a 21-17 win. Stone Bridge will play Edison next weekend for the division 5 group AAA regional championship. The game will be played at Bulldog stadium in Ashburn.
